Modified Equations to Calculate Water Content and Refractive Index of Honey Based on Its Total Soluble Solids

نویسندگان

چکیده

The capacity of honey to break light is used for refractometric determination humidity. In the present work, a manual refractometer was measure total soluble solids (73% - 86%) which are corresponding values refractive indices stated in Chataway’s Table. relationship between solids, water content and index obtained graphics gave equations that could be directly calculate both from its solids. This simple, fast easy way applied without utilizing expensive refractometers due their high cost or lack usage training. Furthermore, suggested equation more accurate than current reference table (i.e. Table) rapidly utilized calculating samples.

like any other learning activity, translation is a problem solving activity which involves executing parallel cognitive processes. the ability to think about these higher processes, plan, organize, monitor and evaluate the most influential executive cognitive processes is what flavell (1975) called “metacognition” which encompasses raising awareness of mental processes as well as using effectiv...

FULL PAPER Water-soluble Au nanoparticles: from catalytic selective nitroarene reduction in water to refractive index sensing

Water-soluble gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) stabilized by a nitrogen-rich PEG-tagged substrate have been prepared by reduction of HAuCl4 with NaBH4 in water at room temperature. The morphology and size of the nanoparticles can be controlled by simply varying the gold/stabilizer ratio. The nanoparticles have been fully characterized by TEM, HRTEM, ED, EDS, UV-vis, p-XRD and elemental analysis. The...
